POSITION DESCRIPTION – EXPORT TRADE (PACIFIC ISLANDS)
THE ROLE
As our rapid growth continues, we are creating a new export trade role. The role will begin working closely with our experienced & current Pacific Islands Export Manager in a learning and support capacity. At the same time also learning and supporting our domestic trading operation which links and works closely together with our export operations. This position plays a critical part in supporting sustainable growth, strengthening customer partnerships, and expanding market presence across diverse Pacific Island markets. This is a career defining role for the right person!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Sales management across Pacific territories.
• Administration & Operations.
• Trading and commercial execution.
• Customer relationship management.
• Forecasting and planning.
• Market development and opportunity identification.
• Product and category development.
Note: above responsibilities also include activity and involvement in the domestic trading business.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• Export or domestic sales/trading experience.
• Knowledge of Pacific markets (advantageous).
• Background in Seafood, Meat, or FMCG sectors.
• Supply chain experience and/or strong understanding of logistics.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Organised, initiative-taking, and able to manage diverse markets.
